Volunteer Recruitment Policy

Introduction

 

Rockleaze Rangers Football Club relies on help from volunteers to provide an enjoyable and supportive environment for young players.

 

The club welcomes volunteers irrespective of race, colour, creed, ethic origin, sex or disability, subject to the volunteer

·          fulfilling the needs of the club and the players

·          meeting the volunteer criteria documented in this procedure

 

The following procedure should be followed for all applications from potential coaching helpers.

Notes to the above

·          A FA CRB form is only necessary for volunteers who train, supervise or have sole care of children and young people under the age of 18 as part of their normal club duties. See the CRB Enhanced Disclosures section of the club’s Child Protection Policy

1.       For applications for non-coaching roles (e.g. administration or financial posts), the actions in steps 2, 5 and 6 will be performed by the relevant person responsible for filling the post, (e.g. Club Secretary or Treasurer)

2.       At step 12, any applicant who has not provided satisfactory references or received an all clear from CRB within a ‘reasonable’ point of time will be suspended pending completion of these steps. The definition of ‘reasonable’ is dependent upon circumstances but should not exceed 4 months from step 10
